The best Chinese dictionary for PDA is Plecodict, from the lovely people at Pleco.com – it might look a little pricey, but you get an easy to use dictionary engine, a range of dictionaries to choose from, and the best handwriting recognition in the business – oh, and did we mention . . .

. . .you also get a superb, highly customizable flashcard module, and a text reader that lets you look up words and add them to your flashcard piles as you go?

There are other options, but frankly they aren’t as good. Anyone serious about learning Chinese on a PDA should make the investment – you’ll save a fortune in time and effort in the long run. And no, we didn’t get paid for this post.
