For Beijing, try the The Beijinger for job ads in the classifieds and robust discussion in the forums. For Shanghai, Shangahi Expat is worth a look. For other cities I don't know, but there's a listing of Sites for expats in China here which may be useful.

China in General

I'm not sure, I don't really use these sites. There's the Living in China forum on Chinese-forums.com (which I run).
